MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found 26 defendants guilty after court trials and hearings were conducted this week in the Mount Vernon Municipal Court. The following cases were brought forward by

MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found 26 defendants guilty after court trials and hearings were conducted this week in the Mount Vernon Municipal Court.

The following cases were brought forward by the Mount Vernon Law Director’s Office.

Len Cabela, 53, of Newark, was found guilty of vehicular manslaughter and failing to obey traffic control signals.

Dustin Beheler, 48, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of aggravated menacing,criminal damaging, and domestic violence.

Douglas Morris, 62, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of menacing by stalking.

Brian McKelvey, 37, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse.

Austin Petro, 26, of Amherst, was found guilty of having physical control of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse.

Derrick Morrison, 31, Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a vehicle whileunder the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse.

Tammi Douglass, 54, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of operating a vehicle whileunder the influence of alcohol and/or a drug of abuse.

William Miller, 35, of Johnstown, was found guilty of wrongful entrustment.

Sloan Hastings, 28, of Zanesville, was found guilty of speeding.

First Assistant Law Director, Brittany Whitney, prosecuted these cases on behalf of theCity of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville,Fredericktown and Gambier.

Erika Young, 40, of Danville, was found guilty of theft.

Jonathon Hinger, 32, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Patrick Smithson, 36, of New Albany, was found guilty of disorderly conduct and havingfictitious plates on a motor vehicle.

Corey Anderson, 28, of Centerburg, was found guilty of criminal trespass.

Katara Bennett, 36, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of theft by deception.

Jessica Joslin, 40, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of failing to use headlights when required.

Travis Mackie, 26, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of driving under a license suspension.

Jacon Williams, 39, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of not wearing a seatbelt.

Seth Milligan, 34, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of driving without a driver’s license and having expired plates.

Jeannee Hurt, 66, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of speeding.

Ashley Davis, 33, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of driving under a license suspension.

Lewis Glass, 26, of Maple Heights, was found guilty of speeding.

First Assistant Law Director, Brittany Whitney, prosecuted the Smithson case on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon and State of Ohio.

Assistant Law Director, Steven Potts, prosecuted the Bennett, Williams, Milligan, Hurt, Davis, Glass on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.

Law Director, Robert Broeren, prosecuted all other cases on behalf of the City of MountVernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown andGambier.

Charles Stewart, 78, of Fredericktown, was found guilty of driving under suspension.

Assistant Law Director, Brittany Whitney, prosecuted this case on behalf of the State ofOhio.

Devin Weber, 23, of Howard, was found guilty of possession of marihuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and operating an unsafe vehicle.

Eric Rosinski, 35, of Centerburg, was found guilty of disorderly conduct.

Max Fedorchuk, 23, of Parma, was found guilty of speeding.

Eugenio Villarreal, 27, of Dover, was found guilty of failure to stop after an accident, driving without a valid license, and failure to control.

Assistant Law Director, Steven Potts, prosecuted these cases on behalf of the City of Mount Vernon, the State of Ohio, and the Villages of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown and Gambier.
