Stone, Atkinson express concern about high number of vehicle pursuits

Nash County Sheriff Keith Stone speaks Monday at a news conference flanked by District Attorney Jeff Marsigli, left, and Edgecombe County Sheriff Clee Atkinson.
Nash County Sheriff Keith Stone and Edgecombe County Sheriff Clee Atkinson teamed up Monday at a news conference to voice concern about an increase in vehicle pursuits, not only in the Twin Counties, but throughout the nation.
District Attorney Jeff Marsigli, who was elected in November 2022, also was on hand to lend his support for the two sheriffs calling for equanimity.
