Two people have died after a car crash on Mount Hermon Road in Scotts Valley Wednesday night.

The two cars crashed between Skypark Drive and Lockhart Gulch Drive. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

The Scotts Valley Police Department has asked drivers to avoid the area. The department confirmed that two people, a male and female, died in the crash. Both were in the same car.

Mount Hermon Road is closed in both directions. Police say the road is expected to be closed for several hours.
